Mobile Journalist at Daily Dhaka

Daily Dhaka is looking for a mobile journalist to join our team and cover breaking news, features and human interest stories in Dhaka. As a mobile journalist, you will be responsible for finding, researching and reporting stories using your mobile device. You will also create engaging content for our online platforms, such as videos, podcasts, live streams and social media posts. You will work closely with our editors and producers to deliver high-quality and timely news reports.

Responsibilities:

√ Identify and pitch story ideas that are relevant, original and impactful

√ Conduct interviews, gather information and verify facts using your mobile device

√ Write, edit and produce multimedia stories using mobile applications and tools

√ Distribute and promote your stories on various online platforms, such as our website, social media, YouTube, etc.

√ Engage with our audience and respond to their feedback and comments

√ Follow the ethical and professional standards of journalism

Requirements:

√ Proven experience as a mobile journalist, reporter or similar role

√ Portfolio of published or broadcast stories on mobile platforms

√ Excellent writing, editing and communication skills

√ Proficiency in using mobile applications and tools for journalism

√ Knowledge of current affairs, local issues and social media trends

√ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask
Creativity, curiosity and initiative

√ HSC or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication or related field
